This working group is responsible for evaluating the current state and future perspectives of issues that have been considered to be a priority for Colombia and which will eventually have a direct or indirect impact on the country at a multilateral level. Furthermore, the group will analyze the most relevant issues stated in the Government’s agenda, based on previous discussions undertaken by global, regional, sub-regional and multilateral organizations and forums such as the Non Aligned Group, the Rio Group, the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS), among others. It will also analyze Colombian’s policies vis a vis these forums.

The group’s main objective is to determine Colombia’s priorities in its integration into the multilateral system. In doing so, the group will encourage the use of a language that is common to all of its members with regards to this issue.

This effort is intended at creating awareness among decision makers (public opinion, academics, civil society) with regards to their role in defining the final outcome of the country’s multilateral policy.
