The Regional
Security Group will try to analyze different aspects related to
this matter, in a broad and multidisciplinary way. This objective
will be completed in three phases. The first phase is to create
a theoretical and methodological debate on the concept of security
itself and how it affects democracy. The second phase will focus
on discussing regional -and eventually continental- security, from
a Colombian standpoint. And the third phase, by discussing security
problems within the country and any favorable or unfavorable external
conditions influencing security.
